Properties of Light

This week we explored light and shadows. The ray model of light states that: light travels in straight lines light can be absorbed light can be reflected light can be refracted We used the ray model to explain how light interacts with opaque, translucent, and transparent materials, and concave and convex lenses and mirrors. The Exploring Light and Shadows assignment as well as the Famous Discoveries of Light assignment are due. I cannot post these on the blog due to Copyright, so please come and get them from me if you need another copy.

Operations with Integers

The past few weeks we have been working on operations with integers. Here are a few videos to help you. https://www.khanacademy.org/math/arithmetic/arith-review-negative-numbers/arith-review-sub-neg-intro/v/adding-and-subtracting-negative-number-examples https://www.khanacademy.org/math/arithmetic/arith-review-negative-numbers/arith-review-add-and-sub-integersss/v/adding-integers-with-different-signs https://www.khanacademy.org/math/arithmetic/arith-review-negative-numbers/arith-review-mult-divide-negatives/v/why-a-negative-times-a-negative-is-a-positive
